Troubleshooting Problems – Bafang BBS01 BBS02 and BBSHD – Middrive – Ebike Conversion – Part 2

Dear Cyberbiker, In this video, we will diagnose and repair the drivetrain of a full suspension ebike conversion. The customer snapped the chain and then came to Cyberbikes, wondering what had happened. Felipe installed a new ebike chain, tuned the gears and went for a test ride. All the gears were working fine except the top gear, 8th. Then, Felipe rode back to the shop, removed the rear wheel, and removed only the last gear of the cassette. After replacing the 11T 8 Speeds sprocket, he went on a second test ride and ohh yeah, problem solved! He then advised the customer to only engage the 8th gear once the bike is above 30km/h to avoid unnecessary wear of that last gear.
